Who Can Submit?
Cover art submissions are open to students at Beijing No. 80 High School.
Each student may submit up to 3 cover art designs.
What We’re Looking For
For our cover art, we are looking for art or photography connected to the idea of buses, passengers, movement, hidden lives, and stories being carried from one place to another.
Your cover art could show:
A bus or bus stop
Passengers on a bus
A student traveling to or from school
A quiet moment between passengers
Someone waiting for the last bus
Your work should not just showcase a bus, but rather the people and the stories that it carries.
File Requirements
Please submit your cover art as a high-quality PNG file.
If possible, submit the clearest and highest-resolution version of your work.
You may be asked to crop your submission to fit the design of the cover.
AI Policy
Any art created with the help of AI is strictly forbidden.
By submitting, you confirm that the work is your own original creation and was made without AI.

Who Can Submit?
Visual art and photography submissions are open to students at Beijing No. 80 High School.
Each student may submit up to 3 pieces.
What We’re Looking For
For our visual art and photography submissions, we are looking for work that tells a story.
Your work may be realistic, symbolic, abstract, emotional, strange, humorous, quiet, or dramatic, but it should suggest some kind of narrative thread.
Photography, painting, drawing, digital art, collage, and other visual forms are welcome, as long as the work is original.
File Requirements
Please submit your work as a high-quality PNG file.
If possible, submit the clearest and highest-resolution version of your work.
AI Policy
Any art created with the help of AI is strictly forbidden.
By submitting, you confirm that the work is your own original creation and was made without AI.

Short Fiction
Submission Guidelines for Short Fiction
Stories may be realistic, speculative, funny, serious, mysterious, emotional, strange, experimental, or quiet. The most important thing is that the story feels complete, intentional, and carefully written.
A strong short fiction submission should include:
A clear situation or conflict
Characters who want, fear, discover, or struggle with something
A beginning, middle, and end
A sense of meaning or emotional impact
Length Requirement
Short fiction submissions should be no longer than 2,000 words.
File Requirements
Please submit your story as a DOCX file.
Font: Times New Roman or Courier New.
Font Size: 12
Spacing: 2.0
The Top Left Corner of your submission should include your name, the title of the work, the date, and your grade and class number.
Excerpts from Larger Works
If your submission is an excerpt from a larger work, please include the title of the larger work in your email.
Excerpts must be self-contained. This means the excerpt should still be readable as a complete story even without the rest of the larger work.
AI Policy
AI tools cannot be used at any point in the writing process.
By submitting, you confirm that the work is your own original writing and was made without AI.
Originality
All stories must be original work by the student.
Students may not submit:
Work copied from another writer
Fan fiction using copyrighted characters or worlds
Stories written by another person
Stories created or edited by AI
Stories based too closely on another published work
